Strawberry Mint Chocolate Donuts


1 cup warm milk
⅛ cup of heavy whipping cream
¼ cup sugar
One package of instant yeast
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 ¼ stick unsalted butter melted
4 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
One Tablespoon of dried peppermint
½ teaspoon of vanilla
½ teaspoon of peppermint extract
Shortening/oil for frying
Chocolate chips for inside doughnut

Mix all dry ingredients together first in one bowl and in another
bowl mix all other ingredients. Add dry mixture to liquid mix a
little at a time until you can form a dough. Let rise for a couple of
hours on a flat plate in and warm area.


Reserve a few washed and sliced strawberries for the inside of
you doughnut. In small saucepan add the rest of the washed and
sliced strawberries, one cup water, ½ cup sugar, and ½ cup corn
syrup and bring to a boil. Mash strawberries as glaze continues to
boil, reduce heat and continue to cook and mash until the sauce

Mint flakes
4 oz of white bark, ½ cup milk, 5 drops of green food coloring,
and ½ teaspoon of peppermint extract.
Melt in a small sauce pan and once melted set aside to cool.

To Finish
Roll out dough thinly and use a large cup to cut out circles. Place
three sliced strawberries, a few chocolate chips and a dab of
strawberry glaze on half the circles. Use other half of cut outs to
place over top and make sure to seal edges tightly. Seep fry 30
seconds to a minute depending on how you like them cooked.
Dust with powdered sugar, green flakes, and glaze.
